Hey Bush! Read this.

16 If a malicious witness takes the stand to accuse a man of a crime, 17 the two men involved in the dispute must stand in the presence of the LORD before the priests and the judges who are in office at the time. 18 The judges must make a thorough investigation, and if the witness proves to be a liar, giving false testimony against his brother, 19 then do to him as he intended to do to his brother. You must purge the evil from among you. 20 The rest of the people will hear of this and be afraid, and never again will such an evil thing be done among you. 21 Show no pity: life for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot.
Deut. 19 16-21

Martin,

Again--I'm not totally clear on what you are saying here.

I rather like the Mosaic take on punishment for false witnesses here.

Are you saying that GWB should face the same punishment as the man he falsely accused of having WMD's?

I'm rather against the death penalty in general. I can think of far more creative and effective punishments for GWB, if (and this will never happen) he were to be convicted on any or all of his many crimes.

The problem with eyewitness testimony is that it's inherently unreliable.

Is there a list of formal charges against GWB which have been proposed by legal minds, somewhere? I suppose one would need two lists--one for international crimes, and one for domestic crimes.

other posts by email. Summarized - This is the Bush's punishment in Deuteronomy for his duplicity.

Yes there are many lists. Kucinich listed 35 reasons yesterday. Also see Vincent Bugliosi, and Barbara Olshansky.

If Bush did receive the death penalty, and the pope and the dali lama and amnesty international all appealed for clemency, it is hard to see why, in fairness, they should be listened to.

My cousin says "Bush has bad karma." Not a biblical concept, but well understood in many circles all the same.
